This short story is amazing! The world-building is fantastic in so few words, with a thrilling and heartfelt plot. The suspense enthralled me, especially with the author’s use of an hour-by-hour countdown. Each revelation increases the stakes exponentially with perfect timing. Carsiri’s story is touching and held depth that I connected with, and the overall premise fits perfectly into the sci-fi genre–exploring real issues through otherworldly means. I highly recommend this story–the best half-hour read I’ve experienced in a long time!
